The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society

Thank you Chris, for your wonderful lasagne with roasted homegrown tomatoes, and ranch beef. What a treat to have friends who love books AND love to cook and eat together! Heaven.

I am thoroughly enjoying the letters of Juliet, and her correspondents in The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. I also love how vital and central books are to the lives of the various characters! I've thought about trying to make a potato peel pie, but not sure how it would turn out! Maybe I will have to divert from my usual soup and make a pork roast. ???

Hi Esther,
Thank you for the delicious dinner - we all had a lovely time. Everyone enjoyed the book "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society". The overall rating resulted in 5.4!

Want to remind everyone that we have scheduled our holiday gathering. It will be Thursday Dec 10th, 6pm again at Esther's home. We have decided to have a pot luck, and, in honor of our local foreign exchange student, will bring dishes with an Afganistani (or at least Arab) flair. Ester will do something with eggplant, Nancy chose chicken and Barbara will make a salad. The rest of us will have to come up with a delicious, creative idea. Looking forward to seeing you all at Esther's on Dec 10th.
